I look back at my sister Mary as a kid – she used to eat all the time: sweets, ice cream, chocolate bars and other foods that are rich in sugar. Moreover, she loved to eat high fat foods like burger and chips, butter, mayonnaise and cheese sandwiches and similar foods.

Mary was under no circumstances drawn to going to a gym to burn some of the weight she had accumulated since she was a child. Mary hardly cared when her college peers told her it was better to lose weight for her own good.

I told my sister several times that being obese means creating excessive pressure on the body and the internal organs and being prone to the following perils:

  • Women are more likely to getting breast cancer.
  • Joing disorders such as osteoarthritis.
  • Risk of having coronary heart diseases where the hearth and blood circulation are working at abnormal levels.

Then out of nowhere, Mary started behaving in a different way. As she started getting interested in boys. Undesirably for her, the boys were not giving her back the attention. Not surprising I must say! It was only then that my sister expressed that she had to do something about her image.

A few months have passed from that time, but unfortunately for her, Mary did not have a lot of success! The concern is that she does not know exactly what to do. “Losing weight is not like having a walk in the park”, I remember telling her. “First and foremost you must put some effort if you are really interested to lose weight. Apart from that you need to know what you need to do in order to obtain fat loss,” I also told her that day. Well to be honest, I don’t know exactly the amount of effort was my sister trying to put in her quest ot lose weight. However, I am clearly sure that she did not know what is the best means of losing weight. For a short time she tried to do the Atkins diet and other low carbohydrate diets. Nevertheless I was most likely the first one to make her aware of the fact that the diet might possibly do her more harm then good. A good nutritionist would acknowledge that the body needs a certain number of carbohydrates to function as it should. I also tried to justify to Mary that she should try to ignore candy and chocolate bars, whilst feeding on more fruits and vegatables.

After doing a bit of investigation on weight loss products and I must conclude that I was a bit confused with the large amount of weight loss products on the market. Do these products really work? Honestly speaking I don’t know. Some of the products were acai berry supplements. As it seems such came highly recommended by Oprah Winfrey and Dr. N. Perricone. So I searched around a bit on the subject and found an article that discusses acai fruit and acai berry supplements. After clicking on a product picture on this website, I was taken to the sales page of the item. I found out that you can try the item for free for two weeks. You are yet expected to pay for shipping costs, but I was ready to pay a few dollars for shipping and handling just to try out the product. Indeed it is not me that will be trying it but my sister! The sales page also states that I should furthermore receive a weight loss tips eBook and a free weight visualization audio. I cannot wait for the parcel to arrive so that I can pass it over to Mary, but I have only paid for it yesterday so I can only expect delivery within a few days.
